vw_beetleWith the first generation Beetle by VW slowly disappearing on our roadways my family has been looking to continue the tradition. “T” kept trying to play with the new generation Beetles, but I have a hard time admitting such a monstrosity even exists, much less play a car game with them. so we came to an agreement:

PIMP-SLAP PRIUS

priusThe amount of Priora (plural for Prius) has increased in my area exponentially (so much so in fact that I am wondering if I should be welcoming them as my new overlords). So my daughter and I now play “Pimp-Slap Prius“. Its quite the fun game, and I must say my arms are gettign slightly bruised from all the sightings.

Inventing a new game always has its downsides. My wife “K” decided to throw “Bitch-Slap BMW” into the mix, and the gentler “Tickle Toyota” has entered into our vocabulary.

I am wondering how fast our game can catch on…

homeworkLast Night “T” was up until 11pm working on a history project that was due today. This was her first big school project (outside of last years science fair where she won first place) that was to be completed at home instead of school. she got the assignment at the beginning of the month and she decided to wait until the very last minute to finish it.

I couldnt get too mad at her for procrastinating, as I distinctly remember doing the same damned thing. All I could tell her was that I hope she learned her lesson. I think got the idea. Hopefully she will not wait until the eleventh hour (literally!) to finish her next project. I guess we shall wait and see.

Last night was also my first foray into bread making. I made a pumpkin loaf with chocolate chips. Quite tasty(If I am allowed to brag about my own creations) so tasty in fact that dug right in and started eating it, instead of taking photos first for my food album like  I normally do. so I have no proof of its existance except for my growing tummy.

Update on Papas house

taylor

I realize its been a bit since I have given any of my followers (scuffaw!) any kind of update on my life.

So her goes:

My eldest daughter “T” is now 12 years old and apparently thinks she is 18. Hormones are flowing through her veins like my tax dollars go through AIG! I can only hope that it subsides soon otherwise, I may have to sit her down and find out how long she plans to live because I have to power to extend or shorten that time as I see fit.  Current crush: Taylor Lautner from Twilight (pukes in mouth a bit)

My middle daughter “AP” is 7 years old and in second grade. I am constantly wondering how much Disney Channel one child can watch without her entire brain turning to sticky-sweet-mush. The thing is: she is amazingly smart! Her emotional intelligence is off the charts. I would like to see her read more often though.

My youngest daughter “AK” has been diagnosed with that piggy-bug that everyone has been talking about. She is currently staying at her mothers house so there is no worry of transferring the infection to any of the other kids, but I miss seeing her. :(

The wife is PREGGERS!!

Thats right kiddos! I have yet another on the way, and we have confirmed that it is a boy (THANK GOD)!!!! I cannot wait to have  a little bit more testosterone in the house! I can already feel the balance of power shifting (although not much).

I can finally look forward to raising a kid with less glitter getting stuck to my face when I hug them!

(thanks Demetri Martin)

So I guess that about covers everything going on right now, but keep checking, I promise I will keep this thing updated more often!

p.s. I will have the 4D ultrasound pictures soon!

Girls and Guyliner

My oldest daughter “T” (age 9) has proclaimed her undying love for a young man named Brendon Urie lead singer for an emo band called Panic! At The Disco:

and a smaller crush on Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy:

Now for a nine year old girl to have a crush on a lead singer for a band is nothing new. In fact I imagine that there were caveman fathers who also had to roll their eyes at their young little cave-girls when they swooned at the group of daper looking cave-teens when they grunted in melody, and stomped in tune.

But my main issue with these particular crushes is the obscene use of “guyliner“. My major fear is that in five years I am going to get David Bowie, Alice Cooper, and Alex DeLarge look alikes knocking at my door asking to “talk to” my daughter.

I cannot allow this to happen.
